Mr Adam Lomax MBBS FRCS (Tr & Orth)


Mr Adam Lomax is a consultant orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon working in the NHS and privately in Leeds.

At the Leeds Foot and Ankle Clinic, Mr Lomax provides efficient and highly specialist diagnosis and treatment for all problems affecting the foot and ankle.

Foot and Ankle Surgery


Mr Lomax is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a highly specialist practice that is entirely dedicated to managing foot and ankle problems. He has clinics weekly at the Nuffield and Spire Hospitals in Leeds. Mr Lomax also has a full time NHS practice at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Mr Lomax provides specialist foot and ankle surgery for patients in Leeds, as well as seeing referrals from throughout the rest of Yorkshire.

Mr Lomax also works at the trauma unit of the Leeds General Infirmary. He has a specialist interest and expertise in reconstruction of highly complex injuries to the foot and ankle.

Mr Lomax is a specialist orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon whose entire elective practice is dedicated to treating conditions of the foot and ankle.

He has trained extensively in the UK and abroad, working with internationally renowned experts in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery and sports injuries.

Mr Lomax is one of only a select number of foot and ankle surgeons in the UK to have been fellowship trained in adult foot and ankle surgery at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, UK.

During this time Mr Lomax was specifically trained in the treatment of complex adult foot and ankle conditions.

He has experience in a managing a wide range of foot and ankle problems, including providing second opinions and where necessary revision (re-do) surgery for previously failed operations.

When surgery is indicated, Mr Lomax will discuss the benefits and risks in detail.

Sports Injuries to the Foot and Ankle


Mr Lomax is specialist fellowship trained in the management of sports injuries of the foot and ankle.

Training at the highly renowned Fortius sports injuries clinic in London, Mr Lomax spent 6 months working with internationally renowned sports foot and ankle surgeons.

We have experience treating athletes from a wide variety of sporting disciplines.

Mr Lomax works closely with the expert team at the Nuffield and Spire Hospitals in Leeds, combining his specialist expertise in sports injuries management with access to highly skilled physiotherapists in state of the art facilities.

We are therefore perfectly placed to get you back to your sporting activities as quickly and safely as possible.

Self funding patients


For non insured patients, consultation fees will be charged at a rate of:
  • Initial new patient consultation - £240
  • Follow up consultation - £170

Costs for further investigations and treatment can be provided upon request.

Fixed fee quotations for all procedures can be obtained by calling the self-pay team at your preferred hospital, who will be happy to help.

Health Insurance


Mr Lomax is an approved specialist provider for foot and ankle surgery by all major health insurers.

Fees are therefore charged in line with your insurer's recommendations, meaning no additional fees to pay other than the policy excess (if applicable).
